An international economics essay competition challenging students to investigate real-world economic problems through evidence, economic reasoning and independent analysis. The 2026 edition features seven questions spanning AI and employment, inequality, housing, digital services, inflation, trade and climate policy.
Eligibility: Open worldwide; no age or education restriction
Cost: Free Entry
Benefits: About 16% of valid entries are expected to reach the shortlist. Shortlisted work receives a digital certificate and may be considered for publication. First-, second- and third-prize winners receive direct written comments from practicing economics professors from leading universities, with additional prize or research-programme support available depending on the award.
