A competitive STEM research program that enables high school students to conduct original research under the mentorship of scientists, engineers, and researchers in fields such as biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, medicine, and psychology
Eligibility: Open to students currently enrolled in or entering Grades 9–12. No prior research experience is required. Remote participation is available for students outside the Bay Area. Admissions are competitive and based on application quality, passion, and commitment rather than grades or test scores.
Cost: Program fees range from $0–$1,070 depending on financial aid eligibility. ASDRP offers partial and full scholarships, and students with demonstrated financial need may participate at no cost.
Benefits: Participants conduct original research, receive mentorship from experienced researchers, develop scientific writing and presentation skills, present at research symposia, and may publish research through ASDRP venues + Research Experience, Mentorship, Publications, Conferences, Skill Development
