The International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) is a global online astronomy competition that enables high school and university students to solve challenging astronomy and astrophysics problems across three competitive rounds. Participants can earn certificates, international recognition, cash prizes, and awards while developing scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Eligibility: Current high school and university students worldwide. Three age groups: Junior (Grade 10 and below, under 16), Youth (Grades 11–13, under 19), Senior (University or 19+).
Cost: Qualification Round is free. Pre-Final Round: €13 (financial aid available)
Benefits: All participants receive digital certificates. Top participants receive global awards, cash prizes (total prize pool around USD 1,500), signed telescopes, and country-level recognition

Duration: Approximately 3 months (announced every year)
